WELCOME to YEAR 3

On this page you will find:

What do I need to bring?

We will provide all the equipment that you need to use during the school day.

There are just a few things that you need to remember to bring to school:

Why does my class have an unusual name?

Danesholme is a Viking settlement area and so all the classes at Danesholme Junior Academy are linked to Viking gods or Viking stories.  The initials of our class names go together to make DANESHOLME JA.

This video will tell you all about the class names and what they mean:

What if?

I get lost?

Ask an adult or another child to help you find your way.  Everyone is very friendly.

I lose something?

First, have a look where you think you lost it.  If it is not there, tell an adult and they will show you where the lost property is kept.  Make sure you put your name on everything - this helps things find their way back to you.

I have a problem with my work?

You should always try your best and keep trying, even when things are tricky.  Your teacher will help you with anything you don't understand.

I feel ill?

If you are not coming to school because you feel ill, your parents must phone school first thing in the morning to let us know.  If you feel ill while you are in school, tell an adult and they will look after you.

No-one comes to collect me at the end of the day?

You must go back into school and your teacher will help you.

If you have more questions - take a look at our pupil information pack.
